What We Do

Roofing work handled start to finish by the same crew

Roof Repair & Leak Assessment

A thorough walk of the roof, a clear breakdown of what is actually wrong, and photos to back it up before any work starts. Fair pricing on the fix, not just the diagnosis.

Full Roof Replacement

Complete tear-off through new asphalt shingle install: new underlayment, drip edge, vents and flashing done right the first time, not patched over the old problems.

Emergency Storm Response

Coos County weather does not wait for a convenient time. When a leak turns urgent, Dale answers the call, works the schedule, and gets a crew on the roof fast.

Commercial & General Contracting

Licensed for both residential (RGC) and commercial (CGC1) work, from single-family reroofs to public buildings, plus general contracting scope like siding and exterior repair.

Our Work

What actually happens when Pioneer Roofing shows up

Residential roof replacement in progress with dump trailer and ladder staged in the driveway

A full replacement means a full tear-off, not a layer on top of the old roof. New wood where the decking has rotted, new underlayment, new drip edge, new vents relocated to where they should have been in the first place, and every soffit brought up to the same standard if that is what the job calls for.

  • Complete tear-off to bare decking, not a re-cover
  • New underlayment, drip line and flashing on every job
  • Vents located and replaced where they were missing
  • Soffits replaced when the scope calls for it
  • Work area and yard cleaned at the end of every day

Residential & Commercial

Licensed for public buildings, not just houses

Most small roofing crews only carry residential licensing. Pioneer Roofing holds both an RGC and a CGC1 commercial license under CCB #256618, so a school, library or storefront gets the same crew and the same standard of work as a house down the street. General contracting scope like siding and exterior repair falls under the same license.

CCB #256618: RGC and CGC1, both active

About

Dale Barker runs the bid and runs the crew

Pioneer Roofing is small and built that way on purpose. Dale is the Responsible Managing Individual on the CCB license, the person who comes out to look at the roof, and one of the crew on the job site. Customers consistently point to the same things: he answers the phone, explains the pricing plainly, and the same small team that bids the work is the team that shows up to do it.

The reviews carry the track record: 4.7 stars across 55 Google reviews, every one of them a real customer describing a real job, from a two-day emergency reroof finished the morning before a storm to a full soffit-and-vent replacement the crew took on mid-project without missing a step.

Dale is friendly, full of ideas and options, conscious of a budget and straight up honest about pricing and how he gets to the number for your bid. His crew has obviously known each other long enough that they work as a team. They located and replaced vents we didn't know we had, and rolled with it when we decided to replace all of the soffits. They cleaned their work area every single day.

I contacted Pioneer Roofing when my roof was in serious need of repairs just before the winter storms hit. Dale came out promptly, was very professional, and provided a thorough breakdown of the issues along with photos. His pricing options were fair, and the team completed the repairs within just a few days.

I've been patching my leaky roof for years, and finally gave in to the fact I needed pros. Dale informed me his crew could be at my house the following morning and have the roof done in two days. New wood, new underlay, new vents, new drip line, new asphalt tiles. Proven when the rains came the very next day and nothing leaked. Pioneer Roofing has a customer for life.

We couldn't be happier with Pioneer Roofing. From start to finish, the owner was responsive, attentive, and took time to answer all our questions. The crew was professional, efficient, and truly amazing, and they made the extra effort to clean up every bit of debris and nails. Quality work and people who genuinely care.
